I have noticed a tendency for us to look at challenging chart aspects and feel defeated. Well, I'm here to tell you that fatalism is for quitters. Don't focus on your perceived detriment, instead, look for opportunities to grow and learn. With conscious effort and mindful choices, we shape how our chart placements manifest into our lives. There is a tendency to allow unaddressed placements or aspects to fall into patterns, but it doesn't have to be that way. You are the ruler of you.
You can have your natal chart read by ten different astrologers, and each might tell you a different way that an aspect may manifest in your life. The truth is, there are endless ways for our lives to unfold. Remember that if you have an negative outlook, you will attract a negative outcome. Please don't let yourself get stuck in any one particular interpretation.
For example, if your Mercury is challenged, don't think "Oh I will never communicate effectively". Instead try, "Ok, I know this can be a difficult area for me, so I am going to put extra energy and effort in when clear communication is required." The first outlook creates a self-fulfilling prophecy. A negative approach can stop you from even trying. Yes, sometimes we have to step outside what is comfortable for us to achieve our goals, BUT WE CAN! We have the power to channel the necessary energy into the areas where it is needed to become the best of ourselves. When you use your chart as a guide to learn where you need to direct additional effort, your challenges become empowering!
Moreover, try not to take your positive aspects for granted. Reflect on your strengths. It's so easy to focus on our challenges that we often overlook our strengths. Are you organized, passionate, creative, diplomatic, intuitive, determined, honest, hard-working, compassionate, healing, insightful, intelligent?-- honestly the list goes on and on. I haven't read a chart yet that didn't outline many beautiful strengths and qualities in each of you. Lean into your strengths while directing intention and energy into overcoming your challenges.
If you have a dream, you can reach it, challenges be damned
