Stop Trash Talking Your Art

I see so many artists who have imposter syndrome, who don't like their artwork, or who just don't believe in themselves and I cannot relate.

I love myself, my artwork and I fully trust in my abilities and inner creativity. I do not think I am better than anyone else, as art is subjective. No one is better than anyone; sure, some people have more skills in particular areas from experience, but that still doesn't make their creative expression any "better" than anyone else's. I don't think everyone is going to like what I make, but that doesn't really matter, because I do, and I know that what I make has value.

There are talented artists who I respect, but whose work does not resonate with me. Though I may not understand or enjoy their work, I would never seek to invalidate it. I'm certain they have their own fans who would whole-heartedly disagree with me.

If you are an artist or any kind of maker, you should believe in yourself too, if you don't already. Because really, your ideas and your inner creativity are valid and they have an immeasurable value in manifestating your soul into physical reality.

You don't need to monetize your work for it to have value. You can of course chase that goal if you want, but it has innate value beyond words, even if no one pays you for it.

Remember that.
